As we roll the calendar over to October today, I wonder what it is that makes us feel so comforted and cozy as the warm summer sun gives way to crisp fall breezes. Whatever it is, I love it!
As you begin to unpack that fall decorating box, here are some simple decorating ideas from around the web for your beautiful fireplace mantel to inspire you!
Autumn Collection::You can find these large glass candle holders and vases at the dollar store. Then fill them with some natural goodies that you collect as you get out and enjoy the crisp fall air with the family.

Simple Pumpkins:: Cut some small complimentary size pieces from scrap 2×4’s then let the kids paint them. You can even distress them a little bit with a few swipes of sandpaper. Whatever you have lying around will do. Hot glue some ribbon/twine and a small stick on top.

Firewood and Squash:: Use what you have on hand already! Add small votives and some dollar store fall leaf decor to give it that “finished” touch.
