Chimney Liners

Chimney Cricket has installed 1000’s of liners throughout the Delaware Valley to ensure that homeowners safely and efficiently vent the products of combustion from fireplaces and central heating appliances. Our skill is based on extensive experience and training which ensure that the job gets done right the first time.

Chimney Liners

Prior to this century building codes were non-existent and chimneys built before the 1950’s are unlikely to be lined.  According to the CSIA, a flue lining is designed to protect the house from heat transfer to combustibles, protect the masonry from the corrosive byproducts of combustion, and to provide a correctly sized flue for optimum efficiency of appliances.” The flue lining can be made of clay tiles, metal tubes, or cast-in-place liners, each of which have advantages and disadvantages for any given chimney design.

Have us Install a Liner for You

Why is it so important to hire a professional chimney sweep to install your liner?

  1. Accountability.

Our technicians are certified by the Chimney Safety Institute of America. A world class organization that establishes, maintains, and trains trade practice in the industry. All Certified Chimney sweeps of this organization are held accountable to an ethics code. Violation of these codes leads to revoked membership.

We are also proud of our rating with both the Better Business Bureau and Angie’s List. Our best spokesperson is our solid reputation for professional and comprehensive chimney service in the Philadelphia area.

  1. Sizing of the venting system.

Natural draft is a delicate mechanism that removes toxic substances from your home/living area. Size and ratios, bends and turns in the venting system all must be considered when designing a liner system for your home to restore your venting system. Many can install a liner, but to have the right system for the right appliances takes expertise to ensure that it is proper and safe. Time and time again we find venting systems installed that left the homeowner and their property in a more critical condition than they were before the venting system “repair”.

  1. Knowing the appliance.

Every appliance has different venting requirements and limitations. A certified technician knows the venting intricacies of the appliances that serve your family’s needs; whether it’s adequate hot water, winter warmth or even improved indoor air quality. Let our team of trained technicians ensure these needs are met safely and efficiently.

  1. Handling obstacles.

There are no two chimneys built the same. Each venting system has unique considerations that need to be addressed for optimal performance. We have a team of trained technicians that are connected to both the Pennsylvania Guild of Professional Chimney Sweeps and the National Chimney Sweep Guild. These resources give us the knowledge and training to address any issue quickly and professionally.
